ADSL2+ Modem 54Mbps Wireless G Integrated Router Built in Firewall Broadband Access, Audio, Video

The Corinex ADSL2+ Wireless Gateway G is the ultimate residential high speed Internet connectivity solution featuring a built-in ADSL2+ modem and access through Ethernet and wireless (802.11g Wireless) media. Multiple users can share one broadband connection for high speed applications such as shared Internet access, file and printer sharing, on-line games, Internet telephony, streaming audio and video, security systems and more. The Corinex ADSL2+ Wireless Gateway G also makes your home network secure with its built-in firewall and enhanced security features.

The One-Box Internet Solution

The Corinex ADSL2+ Wireless Gateway G enables shared Internet access by assigning local IP addresses to devices connected on the LAN side, and translating these local addresses to external IP addresses on the Internet service provider’s side (Network Address Translation, NAT). The Corinex ADSL2+ Wireless Gateway G supports different types of access methods which allow you to select the best or most convenient access method in any situation:

  • WAN (ADSL2+), for connection to your ADSL2+ broadband Internet service provider;
  • LAN (Ethernet), for connection to stationary equipment in your local network using standard LAN cables;
  • WLAN 802.11g Wireless, for connection of wireless devices in you local network.

The Corinex ADSL2+ Wireless Gateway G has a built-in firewall which controls access from the Internet to your LAN, thereby protecting your equipment from intrusion and malicious programs. It also supports Virtual Private Network (VPN) passthrough for IPsec, PPTP and L2TP VPNs, ensuring maximum protection of data traffic within the LAN and over the Internet.

ADSL2+ (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line)

The new standard known as "ADSL2+" is capable of up to 25 Mbps data rates, doubling the downstream bandwidth of ADSL. ADSL2+ also provides an optional mode that doubles the upstream bandwidth. ADSL2+ is used to provide a cost effective, high speed access to Internet. The data flow is asymmetric with faster downstream data flow than upstream data flow to the clients. ADSL2+ is backwards compatible with ADSL and ADSL2, and allows the telephone line to be used simultaneously for voice and data transmission.

Wireless LAN

The Corinex ADSL2+ Wireless Gateway G has a built-in wireless interface, which lets devices with wireless capability connect to the LAN. The featured accelerated Wireless LAN standard IEEE 802.11g Wireless (up to 54 Mbps), is backwards compatible with IEEE 802.11b (up to 11 Mbps). The Corinex ADSL2+ Wireless Gateway G supports the latest security features, preventing unauthorized access and eavesdropping on the wireless LAN interface.

Applications

In the small example network depicted below the Corinex ADSL2+ Wireless Gateway G is connected directly to an ADSL2+ enabled RJ-11 phone jack, a stationary computer over Ethernet, and a laptop and computer with wireless capability. The network can easily be expanded when needed. More computers or appliances can be connected to the network, either using Ethernet or wireless access. All computers can access the internet, stream audio and video, and share files.
